"Not enough to kill me. I let it pass"- T&S acoustic

I gotta say, I was never really that into Tegan & Sara. A co-worker of mine introduced me to them years ago and my response was a lackluster "meh". Perhaps it was where I was in my musical taste at the time, but they seemed unoriginal and, honestly, a bit uninspired and repetitive. That said, I was pleasantly surprised when I heard a live acoustic performance of their most recent material. It seemed like they had finally found the passion that I heard them sing about but never quite expressed on the record that I had heard so long ago. "So, maybe it's just that they are good live," I said to myself and then picked up The Con and found that the live performance simply translated well what was already present on the album. It seems as though they have grown up. Either that or my musical taste has adapted to include them. I'll let you be the judge.

Note: when I pulled these off of my stilleto I saved them as wav files so they are a bit larger than the average mp3 file. Sorry!

Allow my self to introduce myself

Hello all!
This is my first attempt at blogging and it comes after great reflection on the subject. Does the internet really need another music blog? Probably not. Can I provide interesting, informative posts that are not likely found on other blogs? I like to think that occasionally I will be able to do so, although I am not so egotistical to believe that this will be nothing other than a rare occurrence. So with much hope and a healthy amount of trepidation I introduce to you Half as Good Music. Here are the first mp3s.
